“The motivation for me is them telling me what I could not be…” – P.
N.E.R.D. breakout star and successful producer as a member of ‘The Neptunes’, Pharrell Williams is a man of fashion. Less flashy than another stylish man in the hip-hop game, (cough. Kanye West.) but he is definitely fashionable in his own right. Also known as Skateboard P, this entrepreneur has an established luxury-sportswear line called Billionaire Boys Club. The line features funky graphic T-shirts to functional outerwear made with high-quality technical fabrics. BBC is geared towards a style conscious male, usually from the ages of 16-30 (with a sizable bank account as well). He also has another line called Ice Cream, which is a more street driven line co-founded with the BAPE clothing line (A Bathing Ape) founder.
Pharrell is no stranger to collaborations though. Musically, he’s worked with everyone from Madonna, Janet Jackson, Usher, Justin Timberlake, and Snoop Dogg. Other noted collabos for him include his stint as the face of the Louis Vuitton ad campaign in 2005 (a tough gig to come by) and his recent design of an All-American Harley Davidson. When a man dresses well, the women are never too far behind. His good looks don’t hurt either. Esquire named him the best-dressed man of 2005 and now Vanity Fair has named him one of the International Best-Dressed of 2010.
